  It seems like there are many other reviews revealing the terrible service rendered at the desk counter.
  
  My experience was no different. A lady at the counter rushed through my registration. When I asked the lady if any insurance was offered, she brushed me off in a rude tone, saying we dont do insurance, you have to get insurance from a third party. I was rather shocked at the answer. Next thing she asked me was whether Standard Excess is ok. I, being very unfamiliar with what that meant, said ok. She very quickly finished the necessary documents and murmured directions to where I was supposed to go to collect the car. It all ended in 5 minutes.
  
  Unfortunately, I found myself in an accident with the car and realised that I was not covered with a cheaper "insurance"/"excess" and I apparently was not supposed to drive out of a certain boundary in Western Australia. It was an expensive lesson.
  
  I understand there are some errors on my part but I have to say, the lady on the counter would have saved the company a great deal of administration and saved me from an expensive bill, if only she did try to render a decent level of service. Anyone considering to rent a vehicle from Budget Airport should think twice cause not only you would be getting bad service, but you may just be a victim of fine print.
  
  Thankfully, the only ray of sunshine out of all these unfortunate events was that Budget finally honoured the excess charge instead of charging us the full damage costs, albeit them not informing us at the time that they charged our credit card. We had to call them up for an invoice instead.
  
  All in all a pretty bad experience.
